What does the light in the front door mean?

There is a light fixture in the window next to the front door. Before entering the school check the color of the light.

  • GREEN LIGHT – Students ONLY may enter the school

    • Students will still use hand sanitizer when they enter

    • Students will still sit in the chair with the number matching the order they entered the school

    • Students put their jackets on their chair and their boots or shoes next to their chair.

  • YELLOW LIGHT – Parents may enter the school

    • Parents need to sit in the chair that has their child's jacket and shoes next to it

    • Parents leave the school when class is done

  • RED LIGHT – NO ONE may enter the school

    • Due to capacity and social distancing limits, the current class has to leave the school before the next class can enter.

    • Students will still use hand sanitizer when they leave the school

    • This also allows us to disinfect the chairs before the next class enters

What motivated Premier Karate to use lights?

With the gym capacity limits, if we were to have students and parents for the class that was ending and the students and parents for the class that was starting crossing paths in the viewing area, we would be over the COVID capacity limit for several of the class overlaps.

Random Acts of Kindness Journals

Students are required to do and record random acts of kindness in their journals.

  • Little Ninjas and Tigers – All belts, 50 per belt

  • TKD - White belts need to do 50 random acts before they are allowed to belt test. For all color belts 100 random acts of kindness is required.

You can right them down on regular paper or you can pick up a random acts of kindness journal at the front desk

Little Ninjas and Tigers

We are working on Red (Focus) and Blue (Teamwork) stripes this week in class. This is the 2nd month of the cycle so students are getting their second chance to earn these stripes.

Have a great day, Mr. O'Neill
